Scratch is really just this visual programming language. Instead of having all these codes blah blah blah, you can see what you’re doing and you click and drag different things to make movies, games and so on. You can take different pictures that you have on your computer and use them as sprites or backgrounds. Sprites are different characters that say or do things. The background is, well, the background! you can change it to go along with what ever is happening.
I made a two person game where one is the bat and the other is the bug. The bat has to try to eat the bug and the bug tries to escape. You control the bat with the arrow keys and the bug with the mouse.
